Spinning-Disk / Vidéo-microscope

Inverted microscope with a spinning disk module that combines the speed of a wide-field microscope with the resolution of a confocal.
This module enables rapid image acquisition, particularly over large fields of view. It can be used for investigations on living cells at rapid rates, as well as for acquisitions over long periods (up to 1 week of observation).

The CICERO spinning disk module from CrestOptics enables fast image acquisition, particularly over large fields of view.

A manual ‘WF / CF’ selector makes it easy to switch from spinning disk mode to conventional fluorescence mode if required.

A fast, motorised 5-position emission filter wheel allows the module to be used for multichannel imaging with :

  • DAPI; GFP; Cy3; Cy5 single-band filters for greater signal selectivity
  • DAPI+GFP+Cy3+Cy5 multi-band filter for applications requiring maximum speed

The Lumencor – AURA source is an LED source that is particularly well suited to the CICERO – CrestOptics Spinning Disk module.

  • The source comprises 4 LEDs covering the excitation spectrum of the most commonly used probes: 395, 475, 555, 635nm

The lenses are :

  • EC Plan-Neofluar 10x / 0.3 Ph1
  • Plan-Apochromat 20x / 0.8
  • Plan-Apochromat 40x / 1.4 Oil DIC
  • Plan-Apochromat 63x / 1.4 Oil DIC

In addition, the device has full environmental control of temperature and CO2 and a motorised stage for multidimensional acquisitions (multi-colour, multi-position, mosaic and Z stack at the same time) on live cells.

The motorised elements of the module are managed directly in the ZEISS ZEN Blue software.
