The Roland Garigou Foundation for Culture & Health awards several prizes and grants to the CRCT

The Fonroga Foundation supports initiatives and achievements in the fields of culture and health in the Toulouse region.

On December 10, 2021, it awarded several prizes and grants to CRCT researchers:

Young researcher award :

Laura Poillet-Perrez (2nd price)

Postdoctoral researcher in the team “Metabolism and therapeutic resistance in acute myeloid leukemia” led by Jean-Emmanuel Sarry

Project: Define the involvement of autophagy (leukemic and host) in tumor growth and resistance to targeted chemotherapy

 

Nicolas Berry (2nd price)

Postdoctoral researcher in the team “Therapeutic innovation in pancreatic cancer” directed by Pierre Cordelier

Project: To develop methods and tools based on intracellular antibody technology to understand the molecular mechanisms leading to cancer development and resistance to therapies.

 

Fanny Lafouresse (2nd price)

Scientific leader of the research axis “function and regulation of CD8 T cells in cancer in the team led by Salvatore Valitutti

Project: Understanding the role of tissue-resident CD8 T cells (TRM) in breast and lung cancers

Project: Identification and characterization of long non-coding RNAs involved in chemotherapy resistance in acute myeloblastic leukemia, using a new generation of the molecular scissors technique CRIPR-SAM technology. Under the direction of Marina Bousquet.

Antoine Nouhaud :

Project: Impact of USP7 deubiquitylase invalidation on normal hematopoiesis. Under the supervision of Christine Didier.

Sanae Nemji :

Project: PD-L1, a novel non-canonical RNA binding protein: exploration of its properties and its role in the control of autophagy. Under the supervision of Estelle Espinos.

Marion Lenerz :

Project: Role of E3 ligases in stress granule biology and in the expression of immune checkpoint receptors by T cells. Under the supervision of Don-Marc Franchini.

Loic Platteeuw :

Project: The translation initiation factor EIF6, a potential therapeutic target in acute myeloid leukemia associated with the FLT3-ITD mutation. Under the supervision of Carine Joffre.
